The Volunteer Bureau of Rivage upgrades its meal packaging systems.
A Solpak client since 2020, the VB of Rivage promotes and develops volunteerism in various social sectors to meet the social, community, humanitarian needs of local residents and has proudly done so for over 20 years.
The services offered by the VB of Rivage include help for organizations to develop, promote and recognize volunteer work. In addition, they also provide community support and home care services. More specifically, their customers have access to transportation, friendly visits, their infamous Anima-zoo service, Help-all, and finally, their Meals-on-Wheels service.
Available for the eastern part of Trois-Rivières, this Meals-on-Wheels service offers hot and frozen cooked meals delivered at home by volunteers. The service is open to seniors living at home, people with disabilities, people recovering from illness, and caregivers.
As demand for this service increased due to the pandemic, Steve initially needed Thermal Delivery bags to help his team deliver 5 frozen meals each Wednesday to all of his clients in as little time as possible and at the ideal temperature.
Fresh off this first positive experience with Solpak, Steve decided to trust us again, this time to help the Volunteer Bureau package more meals. To do so, Steve chose our 1308 Tray Sealer to seal up to 300 meals per day. Their Tray Sealer will seal our Pressed and Pulped Paper trays made of biodegradable paper. Thanks to their new containers and equipment, Steve and his team now have safer, faster, and more efficient solutions to meet their needs.
