We are excited to welcome Chef Annie to the Solpak family.

Annie Turmel started her career over 16 years ago at a childhood center. That experience made her the chef she is and set her on the path she is on today. More than that, it ignited an interest in children’s nutrition and education. More specifically, how important is knowing where your food comes from and the value it holds. Annie left this experience determined to instill that very value to younger generations.

As time went by, Annie worked with educators to introduce new food and found more engaging ways to introduce those to children. And then, one day, Annie decided it was time to grow those fresh foods, so she planted a garden to teach kids how vegetables and fruits used for those dishes grow. For Annie, the proximity to the land and the origin of the food is part of the process. Each item deserves respect and to be paid tribute to, whether on or off the plate.

With dozens of events under her belt, Annie is just as passionate about food as she was when she first started. Now with her own bistro in Huntingdon, Chef Annie offers simple gourmet-quality food to all, young in age and young at heart alike.

More recently, Annie went back to her roots – school catering. She wanted a solution for a new contract to help safely seal her meals in eco-friendly containers. That’s when she discovered Solpak. She opted for our 1208 Tray Sealer to seal our biodegradable Pressed Paper and compostable Pulped Paper trays. Her new solutions are microwave safe, leak-proof, and easy to open – making them an ideal solution for her little ones.

Thank you for choosing Solpak as your meal packaging partner, Annie – wishing you even more success.
